Upcoming 100: When/How did you become interested in music?
Lil Jeezy: I wanted to make music when I was 6 years old. I wanted to make music after watching a video that my dad made called "American Injustice".
Upcoming 100: How does the song "I'm A Baller" set the stage for more songs from you?
Lil Jeezy: "I'm A Baller" was my first song and it made me want to make more songs. My song "Run It Up" is coming out on December 23rd and I'm working on another song in the studio now.
Upcoming 100: What skills/personal attributes are most important to being successful?
Lil Jeezy: Being courageous and working hard are most important.
Upcoming 100: How important do you think video or other visuals are to your music?
Lil Jeezy: It is important. Having a music video for "I'm A Baller" was important plus the short film "I'm A Baller - Follow Your Dreams" encourages kids to do what they want to do.
Upcoming 100: What do you hope to achieve with your art?
Lil Jeezy: I hope to make more than ten songs and make money for VR games.
Upcoming 100: What advice would you give to new artists entering the industry today?
Lil Jeezy: Make sure to have confidence and work hard.
Upcoming 100: What sets your music apart? What is unique, or at least uncommon, about your sound and style?
Lil Jeezy: Not a lot of rappers talk about sports. Also, I was only 6 when I recorded "I'm A Baller". A lot of people are in their teens when they start making music.
Upcoming 100: Has your music career/journey had a deliberate direction or did it simply evolve organically?
Lil Jeezy: It evolved organically.
