The country superstar announced the news in a post shared to her social media accounts late Wednesday, revealing the engagement in a series of photos and videos. These images capture the moment Hodges popped the question and their embrace after she said "yes".
The caption references her 2024 hit single 4x4xU, as it simply reads, "4x4xU forever" sealed with a red heart emoji.
Wilson, who won the Grammy Award for Best Country Album for her album Bell Bottom Country last year, met Hodges through mutual friends in Nashville. They dated for some time before going public with their relationship at the 2023 ACM Awards, when they walked the red carpet together.
When they first got together, Hodges was playing American football for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Wildflowers and Wild Horses singer was just starting to see her career take off.
"We met at a time where he was still playing, but then it all changed," Wilson recalled in a previous interview with Apple Music 1.
"I finally found a guy that gives me a run for my money," she explained. "And he's my biggest cheerleader. He's just a good person. And he knows how important chasing down a dream is because even when he was a little boy, football was his life."
