Erykah Badu has spoken about Kendrick Lamar’s punning namedrop on Kanye’s “No More Parties in L.A.” The line in question—“Um, well cutie, I like your bougie bootie/Come Erykah Badu me/Hell, let’s make a movie”—was apparently interpreted by sleuths as a hint of romance between the pair. (“Y’all fucked,” @50ShadesOfVivy tweeted frankly at Badu.) According to Badu, however, their only meeting, at the 2013 BET Awards, ended without fanfare—“Sound check, performance , photo opps, ghost.
