All that talk about how America's Got Talent season 11 winner ​could be "bigger than Taylor Swift" appears to have confused the internet. If you searched the 12-year-old singer's name on Thursday (Sept. 15) you might be surprised to see a picture of TSwift pop up to the right over the "I Don't Know My Name" warbler's bio. It was judge Howie Mandel who first made the comparison between the tween singer and the global superstar, and that thought seems to have stuck in some people's heads.
VanderWaal sailed through the season thanks to her signature sandpaper vocals, ukulele strumming and heartfelt original songs about her sister, the pains of teen awkwardness and trying to find your way on songs such as "I Don't Know My Name."
She was pegged early on by judge Mandel as having the potential to be "bigger than Taylor Swift" thanks to her unique talents and irony-free original songs
